Commission on Higher Education

The Commission on Higher Education of the Philippines, abbreviated as CHED, is a government agency attached to the Office of the President of the Philippines for administrative purposes. It covers both public and private higher education institutions as well as degree-granting programs in all post-secondary educational institutions in the country.

Clark Investors and Locators Association

The Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA) is a non-profit organization duly organized and existing under by virtue of the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. It is recognized by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), a corporation duly created by the Base Conversion Development Authority (BCDA), owing to its membership base its proven track record in representing the interest of the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) locators and valuable information it can provide regarding the global market.

Department of Information and Communications Technology

The Department of Information and Communications Technology is the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for the planning, development and promotion of the country’s information and communications technology (ICT) agenda in support of national development.

Department of Trade and Industry

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is the primary coordinative, promotive, facilitative, and regulatory arm of the Philippine Government with the country’s trade, industry, and investment activities. The DTI is responsible for realizing the country’s goal of globally competitive and innovative industry and services sector that contribute to inclusive growth and employment generation.

National ICT Confederation of the Philippines

NICP is the recognized national organization of ICT Councils in the Philippines. Our organization serves as the venue for collaboration and sharing of best practices for our member organizations. Through the years, our organization has served as the unified voice for the Philippine Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Sector. We work tirelessly to promote ICT all throughout the country and support each of the council’s endeavors in order to help strengthen the ICT in their areas and create more jobs for the Filipinos.

Clark Freeports Philippines

The Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ), formerly the Clark Special Economic Zone, continues to make waves as “Asia’s Most Affordable Gateway.” Last April 4, 2008, President Arroyo, inaugurated the expansion of DMIA’s Terminal 1 which will facilitate the accommodation of two million passengers up from its current one million capacity. As of 2008, the zone has employed close to 58,000 workers and attributes this to an increase in export and import receipts which have reached $949.95 million and $927.61 million, respectively.

Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators

The Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators (PSITE) is a professional body of information technology education practitioners in the Philippines. Its members are primarily academics; teachers of computer science, information technology, information and communication technology, engineering, mathematics and other allied fields. Industrial practitioners, however, such as programmers, systems analysts, web developers and others are welcomed as well.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development (TESD) in the Philippines. It was created by virtue of Republic Act 7796, otherwise known as the “Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994”. The said Act integrated the functions of the former National Manpower and Youth Council (NMYC), the Bureau of Technical-Vocational Education of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (BTVE-DECS) and the Office of Apprenticeship of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
